Casa tra cime
Restoring this large farmhouse, the owners have been able to realize a truly impressive alpine home, in which exceptional craftsmanship was combined with the use of top-quality materials. With respect for the original atmosphere, they created a refined blend of a traditional feel with a modern luxurious interior décor and contemporary facilities.
Sumptuous fabrics and beautiful furnishings go hand in hand with aged woods, natural stones and original wooden panelling. The result is a comfortable and chic property, in which modern technology was combined with the traditional art of living in the mountains.
The panoramic view is breathtaking and spreads from the Sella massive, to the Marmolada glacier and the Civetta mountain-range, the house finding itself between several mountain tops (‘Casa tra cime’).
The house spreads over 520 sqm living space on the top three floors, and furthermore contains a cellar over the entire footprint of the chalet (an extra 200 sqm). A stunning, double height huge open plan living space has been created over the top two floors, decorated with old retained beams and partially exposing the original stone walls.
The spacious lounge with comfortable sofas and an enormous fireplace is connected to the dining area and an ultra-modern and fully equipped spacious kitchen with a large island, where everything can be found one needs for refined cooking (view Gallery).
The house includes 4 generously sized master bedrooms, of which two are original ‘Stubes’ with Stube ovens, all tastefully decorated with old wood. There are two smaller bedrooms, connected to these Stubes, with single beds. Last but not least there is a 7th sleeping room with a romantic bunkbed for 4 children. There are 3 bathrooms with walk-in shower, one of which also contains a bathtub (view Gallery).
A mezzanine that spreads over the entire width of the chalet, provides an extra lounge area with uninterrupted views over the valley, and an extra master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and separate toilet.
Outside, the house is surrounded by several balconies offering the opportunity of sun exposure during the entire day. There is a south facing garden with terraces surrounding the house, with abundant space and garden furniture to enjoy living outside during the warmer seasons. It offers a peaceful panoramic view overlooking an impressive mountain décor, changing its colours along the seasons (view Gallery).
